Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I developed a love for science, art, and exploration at a young age. I found an ideal combination of these interests at Cornell University, where I pursued undergraduate studies in Nutritional Biochemistry and Social Medicine. From New York, I ventured south to the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. I first delved into Ophthalmology, followed by Urogynecology, but it was not until I experienced the duality of science and art within Pathology that I found my place in medicine. Coupled with my work in Quality Improvement and Leadership, the potential Pathology affords is illimitable. I am humbled by and thrilled for the challenge and collaboration that the lies ahead at the University of Chicago! When I am not there, you’ll find me in the midst of a charcoal drawing, on a run, or en route to the airport for travel with family and friends.
