Having grown up in the west Chicago suburbs of Glen Ellyn and Lisle, and attended high school at the Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy in Aurora, I consider greater Chicagoland my home. My pursuit of a career in medicine developed at Earlham College in Indiana, where I also discovered my passion for birdwatching and met my then-future wife, Claire. This spring I will complete medical school at the University of Michigan. I am also a United States Air Force scholarship recipient and will serve four years as an active duty pathologist following residency. Outside of medicine, my other interests include playing cello, Ultimate frisbee, running, cooking, and playing with my dog Arthur, a 2yo pug-lab mix. I am delighted to join the University of Chicago community by coming home to Chicago for my pathology residency!
