Clinical Responsibilities

As the Medical Director of Pathology Informatics, Dr. McClintock oversees the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) of the clinical laboratories, serves on mutiple institutional informatics and medical information committees, and supports clinical informatics projects within the department. He is a boarded pathologist in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, in addition to being boarded in Clinical Informatics.

As the Medical Director of Point of Care Testing Dr. McClintock oversees all laboratory testing performed at the patient bedside or in the outpatient clinic setting  (for example POC blood glucose, urinanalsyis, and POC blood gas testing). He is the current primary CLIA holder for multiple POCT laboratories at The University of Chicago Medicine.

As the Associate Director of UC MedLabs, Dr. McClintock helps to support the laboratory outreach initiatives at The University of Chicago Medicine.

Research Interests

Dr. McClintock is the Director of Pathology Informatics at UCM and has a Pathology Informatics Laboratory that focuses on telepathology, whole slide imaging, laboratory workflow analysis, and informatics translational research.
