Congratulations to our Chicago Pathology Society 2017 resident research competition winners!

  • First Place: Daniel Johnson, MD: Non-invasive follicular thyroid neoplasms with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFT-Ps) are genetically and clinically similar to follicular adenomas and are distinct from papillary thyroid carcinomas with extensive follicular growth (PTC-EFG).
  • Third Place: Jefree Schulte, MD: Correlation of p16 IHC and HPV PCR in Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

The Chicago Pathology Society is the second oldest professional society dedicated to pathology in the United States. The object of the society is the advancement of the understanding of disease, with special reference to Pathology.
