Residency Applications

All applications should be made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Paper applications will not be accepted. Please arrange for us to receive your Dean’s Letter and three letters of recommendation through ERAS.

All applicants are encouraged to apply through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

International medical graduates must also provide a copy of their scores on Parts 1 and 2 of the USMLE or the NBME examination, and a copy of a valid ECFMG certificate via ERAS. In addition, any international medical graduate seeking ECFMG certification after 7/1/98 must take the Clinical Skills Assessment examination. A valid ECFMG certificate is required for visa and licensing. Please note: to qualify for H1B visa status to perform clinical medicine, it is necessary to pass Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the USMLE examination. For a J1 visa, only USMLE Steps 1 and 2 are required.
