Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology Fellowship

This one-year fellowship provides in-depth clinical training covering both neoplastic and non-neoplastic disease of bone and soft tissues. The pathology department provides services for pediatric as well as adult patients. The fellow closely works with the attendings on the sign-out of consult cases and has an opportunity to participate in the education of residents and rotating medical students covering in-house cases. The fellow is an active member of a collegial, interdisciplinary team and participate in the work of this team by providing coverage for tumor board conferences. The department provides ample opportunities for academic work and some involvement in scholarly activities is expected as part of the training.

Completion of training in anatomic pathology (three years' training in anatomic pathology or four years' training in combined anatomic and clinical pathology) or oral & maxillofacial pathology. The candidate must be able to obtain an Illinois medical or dental license.

Commensurate with level of training.
